Montaña Pelada is a hill located by the sea in my hometown of ‘El Médano’. It’s arid and lacks any vegetation, but its dramatic shape magics it magic, especially during sunrise and sunset when the yellow shades pop in contrast with the blue ocean and the sky.
A médano is a type of sand dune. My hometown is called ‘El Médano’ because it was all sand around back in the day. Nowadays there is more concrete than sand, but the place itself remains a quiet and charming seaside town.
